About SDEX

SDEX is designed to be a quick and convenient way for schools and districts to download all SWIS data from one or multiple schools in a neutral format useful for import into their district student information system (SIS). Data from multiple schools can be downloaded in a batch with one click. Batch downloads can be automated to occur daily. Using the data provided by SDEX, a district programmer can create a script to import SWIS information into the district system.

To get started, each user of SDEX must create a new account. Your SDEX account is independent of the SWIS/PBSApps accounts. Your SDEX account will allow you to access data from a single or multiple SWIS schools. This is useful for districts downloading data for multiple schools.
